For You 너를 위해

This is random, the writing mode is on at this hour while doing random things. Well not so random as im on my urge in marking the students' test papers which their carrymark should be up within today, and it's not complete yet! *ayatkeling/abaikan*

As going thru the marking, this song is on repeat. haha. It's the bloody sticking virus bought by Miss J and it has been there for a while. I'm not a fan of this song when i heard it from Lee Ha Yi who covered it for K-pop Star show. Then, i found out from Miss J of course that Jae Joong had sang it before in Japan concert, without knowing who is the original singer.

To be fair, i put all three versions from three different people and believe me, the feeling of these three are also different when you hear them out. haha..

Ha Yi for Kpop Stars

Jae Joong for Japan concert

Original singer, Lim Jae Bum

what does new year means?

Believe it or not 2012 is here! Like in a blink of eyes and i still wondering what have i done throughout the entire year. So i'm already one year of graduating? Why does it feels like it happened last 3 months with all those memories with friends? Here i am again asking what does this New Year means? Other people might say it's a new period for you to change yourself or to improve. It's a year where you want to strive for everything. As for me, im still doing the same thing as i did exactly on 11.59 PM 31st December 2011 where i'm on the internet, checking the twitter, reading some gossips, watching some videos in youtube and maybe watching a k-drama. So, it still the same routine, and i'm back to the square one. As i writing this up, i am still wondering what does this New Year means to me? You may say i'm slacking off in everything i've done since all mentioned are the procrastination part of me who's lazy to change. Yes, as i fell those things are the things that closely relates to me right at this moment. I may be doing the official things like teaching or studying but the routine is there. Oh, you no need to agree with me as this is a personal judgment and opinion who do not reflect on other.

BUT, there are things that caught my interest that leads me to write this post. As you can see, the writing habit of mine is worsening tremendously without any valid reason or cure. Its affect me by the way, as i don't know where do i need to give all out of what i've feel instead of holding it inside and at the end it's leads to nothing. These are what i've seen so far over the new year resolution that people post on facebook or twitter  since both sites offer a great source of all gossip in the world.

1) A riot made by university undergrads asking for freedom in academia field.

This is the hottest issue that viewed and received mix reaction from the people. Be it a lecturer, or students or the public, even graduates like me. I'm once undergrads student and I'm still one of them now since i've continue my study. This is NOT a political judgment, i repeat NOT a political judgment but it's based on a citizen of a country who's merdeka for over 55 years till now and 'undi anda adalah rahsia', so why bother telling which party that you are voted for. I also have my own mix reaction towards this as at first i thought that the boy who's sparked the risen of this issue is so brave. Who dare to actually do the same thing as he did before? It's the same situation if you recall a Palestine? Iraq? citizen who happen to throw a shoe toward George Bush just because of the hatred. Then, i've come across a blog who critics the boy's action as unmanned and it's a way of showing off that you're brave. Then again, my judgment changed. When i read the breaking news on how the students were beaten half-dead by the police on the night of the riot. I can feel the anger flew in me. I watched the video of incident and i thought why do they do that? It's like those have nothing to do? Police came and offered good deal for them to demolish the event, but they still stubborn to do it. At the end, most of them end up in the 'lokap' and few injured. That's the situation.

But then again, it get me to a very main concern on WHAT do they want in the first place. Have all the people who're showing their concern towards the issue look at what are these students asked in the first place thus, lead to the riot itself. As what i read and been emphasized by them, they want the university students have their own right in voicing out their opinions regardless of what issues. Those want their small rights to be heard and a small right to giving out their own thought and belief to the country. And what's so big deal about granting the human right of speaking for them. They also claimed that they do not represent any political parties and doing that in the name of justice. I believe in their fight as the objectives are clear. We're once a student. What does the role of Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) in an educational institution if they're yet failed to carry out the students' voice and forever hide behind university’s administration. The issue is simple, but with the involvement of the 'invisible' hands, it looks worse than it is. I've come across my own lecturer facebook’s status, commented upon this issue. I must say it's disappointed to have that shallow mind of him saying these people are shallow minded. He sort of felt ashamed as there are students from our university involved in that riot by citing a blog link of what a random blogger has said towards the university. Why he's so intimidated by the view of the blogger? Why did he think the reputation of the university is at stake just because of the unreliable sources and opinion pointed out regarding the issue from the unknown blogger? Instead, he's being orthodox saying that the real job of a student is studying. Has he ever wondered the real responsibility of a human being? Being a student is just ONE of the roles that have been put on our shoulders.  That's the turning point of my thinking. Do public actually understand the real objective of the situation?

Weeks before, i had a talk with besties regarding what happen. It's just unintentional talk that lead to this topic and we've come to a point that it's the world where youngster like us know what is right and wrong. Who's the sifu? Of course the internet and media. You cannot control people's perceptions same goes people's opinion as we have our own belief as long as you have a solid reason on what you are rooting for. You can compare and contrast which one is black and white. You can already look for the answers and and Mr.Google does help a lots. You may want to block the online stream media like youtube and twitter, but it would not be happen as what you did in blocking the web-sharing site before. So, this is the medium of everything. I thought only old people who leaves far away from the city, who hardly get any other channel of news other than rtm would have this lousy thought of mind, but it’s sadden me when people who has full excess to online sources also acts blindly as though you’re too noob in exploring the net. I also have friends who’s taking an excuse  action of not caring or accurately ‘ambil cakna’ of what happen around them commented they’re too fed-up on the issues occurred. Wow, just like that? Then when people want to jump from a bridge, then you also want to jump thinking it’s actually a bungee jumping? For whatever reason you live, you need to have a strong side of opinion. Whatever opinions you have make sure it is reliable to support your verdict and not solely base on what you see and heard. Don’t be lazy to at least search deeper and read more on what’s been presented other than swallow it as what it is presented to you.
To all noobs out there, don’t be ashamed to admit yourself, (tho you're proud in reading books from Dummies series) but be ashamed of you, who do not learn anything for what happen around you. There’s a reason why a phrase like “ History repeats itself” do exist after all.

Le Gra, Westlife.

*SMS received*

Kak Jan: Did you know Westlife is spliting?? It's all over the news and twitter!

Me: Huh?? Where's the news?  (blurrrr) [replied.]

Kak Jan : Twitter, si Liza tweet semalam. [ in reply]

Me: *speechless + mate buntang xleh tido dah*

That's the news that i've received after one week of meeting them live and face to face in Malaysia.
This thing has been speculated long ago and now it's been confirm like really confirm. I haven't write my fan account during the Malaysia visit and yet this coming out them. Truthfully, i'm speechless as in not that-speechless-wanna-cry one but more to speechless; 'this fast? I've just saw you last week and you have this decision all along during the Asia Tour?'

[Taken from their official Facebook.]
Splitting in boyband is not a new thing to be cried for as it happens. Like Kak Jan said, boyband do expired, like what happen to Blue, Take That, or Boyzone. People already talked about it since Bryan left the group in 2003, but they still strong till now. After reviewing the official statement from them, it can be concluded that this is the right time for them to end it themselves as a matter of giving spaces for a new embark-able individual journey for everyone. I believe Shane wants to do business, Nicky might want to venture as an entertainer as he did before as a DJ or MC, Kian might wants to focus on his new family with the born of 'Twinkle" in anytime, while Mark, i have no prediction for Mark (LOL). The reason is too strong as it's for everybody sake not because of they arguing or somebody tried to leave the band again.

It's been 12 years since they have been together, and Shane said they have come this far just because they share the same teenage dreams long time ago and together they want to achive that dream. Westlife is not only a boyband, but it's a growing family with 5 people at first, come down to 4 and now they have expend with the juniors family coming in one after one. It's hard to maintain of course with the growing up children who needed the attention, i think it's a wise decision made by them. It's surprise to see how calm i am dealing with this matter. Not to say i'm not sad, but to what extend should i show or express my sadness over this matter. Better be happy and thinking the positive outcomes from all this matter. If fan feel the lost, then they themselves would be even worst.

I can't explain every inch of what contribution Westlife has turn me so far as it hard to describe through words and i'm not good at it. All i can say half of what i am today is actually what i learn with them, it can be said i grow older with them as from a child who will memorize every lyrics of the songs, bought every albums that they released and how to integrate them in everyday life routine. The name Sha Filan would not exist if there's no Shane Filan, as people always wondering what is it all about. There will be no girl with good English in the primary years, (i repeat primary years not now ) who tried to translate every words that came out from their mouths, or even memorize their countless dialogs in the DVDs. It's all affect me after all.

I'm not regret for what i've sacrificed and done as a fan. Even better after i finally met them especially Shane Filan in Malaysia earlier this October. It's like a dream come true with unimaginable encounters with them all along while they're here. I come to notice that Shane and Nicky are very friendly, Kian can be a little moody and Mark can be both. Of course i will post up my fan account for that as it's a lots of things to be shared and i also have promised to my concert partner, Dhiya to put it up.

Well Westlife, though it's the end of WESTLIFE, but it's already live it up in me. I already used to the wordings, the names, the songs, and even the hazel eyes that Shane has.LOL. Not to mention, the last gift that he left me before he flew off from Malaysia. i would always believe that once you're a fan, you would always be one no matter how many others come and go. If one day you're going to make a comeback just because you're already broke, don't worry i will still support all of you like before. hahaha.

Till then,

Le Gra, Go Deo,
 Sha Filan xxx
